The Missionary Rector of Sts Mary and Michael, Commercial Road East is the Rev William Kelly, supported by the Revs Joseph Frederick Padbury, William Bourke, Thomas Francis Gorman, and Thomas Seddon.  Mass on Sunday at 6.00, 7.00, 8.00, 9.00 and 10.00, with a short discourse at each Mass. Weekday Mass at 7.00, 8.00 and 9.00. On Thursday Rosary, Sermon and Benediction at 7.00. On the first Friday of each month and on every Friday in Lent the Stations and Benediction.  Confessions every morning from 7.00 to 9.00, and on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday evenings from 6.00 to 10.00. Baptisms on Sunday at 1.00 and 3.00, and on Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 10.00. On these two days Churchings after Baptism.  Confraternities of the Blessed Sacrament, the Rosary, the Scapular, of Christian Doctrine, and Bona Mors.  The parish serves St George’s and St George’s in the East Workhouses, and the London Hospital on the Mile-end-road.

In 2017 the parish is served by Frs Willie Skehan and Aidan Sharrett.  Anticipated Mass is on Saturday at 7.00 pm (6.00 pm when the clocks are on GMT), and Sundays at 9.00 and 11.00.  Only Holydays Mass is at 9.30 and 7.00 pm.  Weekday Mass at 9.30 on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, and on Saturday at the Sisters of Mercy Convent. Confessions on Saturday from 6.00 to 6.30.
